Distant Suns-Lite 1.2 was pushed to the Appstore today. That should be the good news. But some kind gent emailed me with an “Uh, you might want to check….” note, saying that the “Lite” version was in reality, the paid/full version. And unfortunately he was right. I pulled it from the store when I could confirm that. I should have the real version uploaded later and hope I can talk Apple into expediting the approval which they do in special circumstances.
In the meantime, those of you who got DS 2, accept that as a Christmas gift from us here at the Distant Suns World HQ. Note that you will not be able to upgrade as will be bound to the freebie. In order to get upgrade notifications and download privileges for future versions of the paid app, you will need to purchase DS2.
The way this can happen is that since they come off the the same codebase, it is possible to get the executables mixed up. In this case, I was doing some DS2 stuff, switched to the DS-L project but probably didn’t rebuild the Lite version completely. So it likely just used all of the modules from DS2 when it built the .app file.
Go ahead. Enjoy my misfortune.
